Reading for Rides

Bring your completed registration form to the carnival area on Kids Day at the Montcalm County Fair to redeem the free rides.

The application can be found HERE. (coming soon)

Reading is fun, but it is also an important life skill, vital for the transiton of youth to adulthood. In partnership with local libraries, Greenville Community Foundation and many local sponsors, “Reading for Rides” is an opportunity for children 12 years old and under to be rewarded for reading. In order to receive their reward, the “Reading for Rides” application needs to be completed (including the titles of the 5 books read for each child) and redeemed during Kids’ Day at the Montcalm County Fair on Friday, June 27th starting at 10 a.m. The application can be found HERE. Upon doing so, recipients will be able to ride carnival rides from noon-4pm at the Montcalm County Fair – for FREE! Participants are encouraged to bring a book for the book exchange and take a new one home.
